Product Description
It automatically waters house plants without the aid of a computer or electronic controls. The water supply is syphoned from any container by means of a thin hose and is emitted slowly through the ceramic cone. Your plants can stay in their normal locations and you can even add liquid fertilizer. It's ideal for watering your plants during vacations. Works as advertised, saved plants while on vacation.
We just returned from a 10-day vacation, leaving 7 plants and containers to the care of 10 spikes. Not only did all plants (indoors and out) survive during warm July weather, several showed better growth than with hand watering. The process to "start" and install the spikes is clearly described, and it's comforting to know that the spikes can be rehabilitated after extended use. We have left most in place as a convenience. Pay attention to the pot size guidelines -- we have four spikes in the largest container, a 24" herb pot. These are highly recommended!

Excellent
These 5 watering probes have eliminated a lot of work for me. I have large vases sitting next to my flowers which I fill with water every few days, and I don't have to worry about forgetting my plants or overwatering them.

Great for vacations or extended work travel
I just got back from a two week work trip. I ordered these Self-Watering Probes to try on two medium to large plants that I have. The probes worked great! Both plants looked fresh and happy when I arrived back home.
